In 2021, I was commissioned by the Santa Clara Valley Medical Foundation to teach their employees how to fold origami cranes and to create three different installations with the folded origami. I instructed dozens of employees at O’Connor, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, and St. Louise Hospitals. Each installation was site specific, in which the orientation of the installation depended on the location of the installation and quantity of cranes. I designated a color palette that would identify each location and fabricated the installations using a combination of colors that best enhance the display. Utilizing my design and fabrication background, these vibrant installations twirl as they are suspended using lightweight and durable materials.
